New Research: Exercise Reduces Hot Flash Frequency by 40%

A landmark study from University College London confirms that consistent aerobic exercise can dramatically reduce hot flash frequency in menopausal women.

A landmark study from University College London has confirmed that consistent aerobic exercise can dramatically reduce hot flash frequency by up to 40%. Researchers followed 1,200 women aged 45-60 over 12 months and found that participants who engaged in 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week reported substantial improvements in vasomotor symptoms, sleep quality and mood. Walking, cycling and swimming were equally effective. The study suggests that exercise should be a first-line recommendation for menopause symptom management.
